Repetiremos.

A nice place to stay
I was a little iffy about this one due to the negative comments, however, this is where we ended up and I found this to be a nice place to stay, for me it had a very homey type of atmosphere. We stayed here for five days while we hung out waiting to leave for home. We ended up finishing our walk quicker than expected. The building is an older building, which you can see in the bathroom, kitchen and general look of the house, but I did not find this to be a negative. I like the older buildings.I found the people to be friendly, helpful. Some things a person may feel as a con/negative, would be that the staff leave in the later afternoon, so if you need any help, you would have to call them. I did not find this to be a negative, I do not need staff to hang out with me while I rest and eat. There is a PIN for the main door to get in the albergue, so when you want to come and go, you will need to remember the PIN to get back in the building, if you forget it, that can be a hassle, but you can ring the bell to get in and someone may let you in.The doorbell is super loud. I about jumped out of my skin when someone would ring the bell. In the five days I stayed there I only heard it in the middle of the night once and that was because I was already awake and not feeling well. No one else in our room heard the bell...so it's not that loud...probably just me. lolThe washer had some trouble at times. Twice it did not ring out our clothes and we had to run it a second time. I could have contacted the staff and I am sure they would have taken care of it, but it did not bother me enough to do that...so I just ran the washer again. The room we were in had a radiator heater, which turned on around 5 or so and shut off around 9 or so. I wasn't feeling well and I had some seriously wet shoes, so it would have been nice to have the heater on longer, but it didn't bother me enough to say anything to the staff...not sure that would have mattered, but I was good anyway.I did not find the password to be derogatory to anyone. It had been negroblack when we were there. The guy mentioned it references a type of stone common to the area and used in jewelry, which while shopping we found plenty of this type of jewelry. I do not think the color negroblack means the same in Spain as it may in other parts of the world. Just a guess though. In the end, I enjoyed my stay and you might too. Give it a try and if you do not like it, you can always find another place...there are lots of them.
